Yes, rain and hail but this is what we missed…

Webb county and surrounding counties are semi-arid. That means almost a desert! So, when it rains, and in the case of today, hails, everyone goes just a little weird.

This is a video taken on the highway between Monterrey, Mexico and Laredo, USA at 3:30pm. Captured also is the ever-so-commonly-heard-in-these-parts Monterrey accent :). Their worried chatter made me smile but I am glad they are ok – and hope the overturned semi-truck drive is ok.

  4. i saw this on weather channel earlier tonite, they located it in brownsville texas. it was a water spout that run aground, they referred to it as a land spout. i had no idea that term even existed, looks like a twister to me.

It does look more like a water spout than like a tornado. They are similar, but water spouts are nowhere near as powerful.
