Chupaboer Comic kicking off

New comic book writer and local resident, Dani Raschel Jimenez, is hoping to find some support for the start of a new book. The Chupaboer comic book is in the works right now but she asks that you take a look at the indiegogo.com website for more information on how to give her goat-sucking monster creation a good start.

Check out the summary:

Set in the brush of South Texas, Chupaboer is the tale of Herbie Boer, who’s just your average, run-of-the-mill goat. In order to come to terms with the loss of his mother, he practices yoga daily with his best friend, Precious Pygmy. At least, he tries to practice, but Bub, the herd leader, takes pleasure in disturbing Herbie just to remind our hero that he’s a bottle baby and will never be capable of taking care of the does, particularly Nancy.

One night, Bub is snatched up by a creature many goats have heard of but none have seen: The Breath. Herbie is all set to say, “Good riddance,” to Bub’s teasing, but when Nancy asks him to go Breath-hunting for the good of the herd, and maybe even rescue Bub in the process, Herbie just can’t say no. This request puts him on a journey that’ll test his inner strength, and maybe, just maybe, help him get the girl.

At the very least, you can provide some moral support for local Laredo talent. Write her a comment or contribute by sharing her story.
