Looking through all my downtown pictures…

Way back in April I had mentioned the Webb County Heritage Foundation’s photo contest. Yes, waaaaaaaay back then – so that means you should have albums full of photos that represent the best of historic Laredo (and Webb County – don’t forget other parts). Snapshots of your abuelito don’t count!

This is your last week to submit your photographic work of art. This is a picture of their application but you can actually get the fillable form on their website for a much neater application.

    I don’t have pictures of it, but does anyone remember the weird appendage that used to sit atop of the abandoned AT&T building? I remember going down Guadalupe towards downtown, and thinking how kinda cool Laredo’s skyline looked from a distance. With that being said, is Laredo afraid of new heights (pun intended). Most of their buildings are barely over 10 stories. :/
