The Associated Press’ Garance Burke tells us that the Harold Camping, this past weekend’s doomsdayer of Family Radio International, has set another date for the rapture and its on my birthday :(.
Through chatting with a friend over what he acknowledged was a very difficult weekend, it dawned on him that instead of the biblical Rapture in which the faithful would be swept up to the heavens, May 21 had instead been a “spiritual” Judgment Day, which places the entire world under Christ’s judgment, he said.
The globe will be completely destroyed in five months, he said, when the apocalypse comes. But because God’s judgment and salvation were completed on Saturday, there’s no point in continuing to warn people about it, so his network will now just play Christian music and programs until the final end on Oct. 21.
If that is the case, I will accept gifts now until the end of the world. Or you can help out one of my favorite groups, Volunteers Serving the Need (they provide food bags to low-income veterans and surviving spouses and raise funds through their small thrift store on Salinas):
We need help of volunteers on Wednesday’s from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to help unload truck of food product and Thursday-Friday to load grocery’s in clients cars ( 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). Lunch is provided. (No A/C) All volunteers MUST wear good protected shoes and be willing to fill out an application and be a team player. What do you think? GOD BLESS YOU — Gigi–
