Still busy…

I have loads to write about but… my out of town visitors come first. Oh, that and choosing the right stain for all the things I’ve keep saying I am going to do.

Oh no - I picked the wrong stain color for the extremely simple work tables we put together

Don’t want to see my personal projects? Check out the San Antonio Express’ story titled, “How well does your school spend money?” Interesting.

Or check out, “Union Pacific Railroad Billboard Campaign Reminds Truckers to Stop for Trains” coming to a billboard near you. The IEWY News tells us:

At the center of the campaign is a yellow traffic sign featuring an 18-wheeler truck stuck on railroad tracks. Along with this visual warning comes a variety of written reminders, including, “Always expect a train,” “Keep your rear clear,” and for Spanish-speaking drivers, “Cuidado con el tren” (“Use caution with trains”).

Fun stuff. By the way, I noticed that I don’t hear the downtown parrots like I used to. Have they moved from this area? Were they killed off by the freeze? One could see hundreds flying and perching in a group on specific trees in Laredo’s downtown. Where are the green parrots? Did the river monster (story coming soon) get them?
