Snow Loco Laredo

Well, it happened, even if for only 2 minutes. It snowed in Laredo and everyone went nuts. On my way home I saw one accident on McPherson and two on I-35.

As of right now, LCC staff should report to work at 8:00 a.m. Friday. Plans might change depending on conditions.

I went to H-E-B and it was packed. People seem to be panicking and buying bottled water, batteries and toilet paper. The end of the world is near – snow in Laredo! From a northerner’s perspective it was pretty funny to watch.

However, on a serious note, as i look out at the street right now it looks pretty slick. Caution while driving, or not driving if it can be avoided, seems like sage advice at this point.

Here is a picture of Blizzard 2011 from the field lab blog out in terlingua.

Field lab is an interesting project and blog documenting an experiment in sustainable living mostly “off the grid” in the middle of nowhere near terlingua, tx. For more info see
