Spring Gardening Workshop today

I almost forgot that we are preparing for Spring. Considering how chicken people can be with this little winter storm, I am not sure how many will show to the AgriLife Gardening workshop.

I hope people go because this is the same guy who told me that he can’t start a Master Gardener class because there is no interest in Laredo. He was so negative and I told him so – that was one interesting conversation! Lasted a while of him trying to convince me that no one would follow all the way through and they don’t understand that it is also meant as volunteer training and on and on and on with a big old “NO” in all his discussion. Maybe this workshop is a signal that he is being more open. Let’s give him the benefit of my BIG doubt :P.

Anyway, some of you are not in class or work so here is your chance to make it out. Hope a few can make it out despite the chill in the air and the dust in our eyes.

About Que Fregados

Que Fregados is a quirky look at little things that strike us funny in Laredo and the unique Latino culture. Suggestions and comments are welcome. You can also email to quefregados@gmail.com.

I wish we could have had more warning! People like me need to plan days ahead for transportation. Just saying….

My mother is a Master Gardener. Took the workshop about 8 years ago and she loved it! Of course, she always had a skill for gardening, a green thumb, but that certificate she received at the end of the workshop was like gold to her! 🙂

And yes, she put in her hours as a volunteer, especially at the L.I.F.E. Fair every year.
