  1. So why don’t we market Laredo as a western town? It seems that many tourists, especially from other countries, already picture Laredo that way. They must be very disappointed when they get here and only see “tiendas de garras”.
    Heck, give them what they want! It’s not that much of a stretch anyway. Our local history shows that we had plenty of interaction with native Americans and ranch cowboys.

    Maybe they meant black gold, texas tease… or even coal. Hmm, so if there were coal mines out mines road, could there be diamonds too 😉
