Stupid scammers

My partner received a phone call from a 662 area code two days ago. The woman on the phone asked him for a contribution to support the Laredo Airforce Base for returning troops. When he stated that the base has been closed for a long time, she hung up.

Today, he received another call from the SAME number but wasn’t able to answer. I wonder what she was going to be collecting for. The Chupacabra rescue fund?

Readers, I hope that you are alert during this season and ask for written information before donating to something that may pull at your heart strings. There are too many scams and too many scammers – be careful out there.

Facebook brilliance (I should do the things they suggest!):

    Maria – Mississippi area code

Power Hits – should be reported to the attorney general of MS

Gil – give us the number, and we can all start calling.

Que Fregados – I very much want to but he is calling her again. We want to make sure it isnt some innocent person who let someone else use her phone.

Power Hits – I’m sure it’s from a call center.

The Chupacabra is out. They ran over him up in San Antonio last spring.

  4. Please don’t confuse telephone and internet scanners with the dedicated volunteers of the Chupacabra Rescue Fund (CRF). Our organization does not engage in harassing fundraising!
