Joel Burns’ message to teens and everyone

Joel Burns, Fort Worth City Councilman, has my total respect for his courage in reaching out to teens in the GLBT community or bullied because of orientation or PERCEPTION of orientation.

I know I am a little late in posting his city council presentation but I didn’t want to let it pass by. Let’s hope his message that “it gets better” reaches some that may be contemplating suicide and those who are trying to hide who they really are.

There’s an ad today in the paper for iPillar, a support group for those with sexual identity issues. And it’s also “Spirit Day,” a day for those who call for the end to anti-GLBT bullying to show their support by wearing purple.
