Into the Beautiful North

Today has been one of those days. I missed a morning training for the disaster relief follow-up efforts, rescheduled my doctor’s appointment, didn’t eat until now and am even posting from my phone.

The good thing is that progress was made at the Laredo Public Library! We’ve been sorting and organizing the library’s used books to be sold soon.

I’ve now dovetailed into the 1st book discussion for the One City, One Book efforts. This year’s selected book is Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea.

I’ll be posting the full schedule later on but the next discussion is on September 18th from 1:00-3:00pm with a screening of the Three Amigos following.

But why is food collected at every event? The Food for Thought Foundation’s name – is meant to feed mind and body. All collected food will be donated to a local agency.
