A little wet, a lot wet

Watch out Laredo, the water is a comin’. I asked my friend to take some shots of the river because I was busy most of the day (you know, gathering sandbags and stuff). Check it out:

Courtesy of Jesse Gonzalez who was going for a drive across the river but...

Courtesy of Jesse Gonzalez who couldn't cross the river and then decided to park and walk but... then couldn't park without a boat...

Courtesy of Jesse Gonzalez who since he couldn't drive, couldn't park, decided to just join the crowds and watch the river continue to rise. Sigh.

While Laredoans wait for what we know is coming, those in Monterrey have not been so fortunate. Another reader (thank you, Sue!) forwarded some photos from Monterrey that show the devastation of their flooding:

As I uploaded photos, Pro8News reported on the rise of the river, the water outage planned for Nuevo Laredo and the closing of Bridge #1 tomorrow. Downtown will be a little lonely. I’ll be out there watching the water as it approaches my little house 😦
