I can’t wait to meet the wonderful women taking part in Leadership Texas this year. I’ll get a chance to chat with them today and hope to learn something cool (I love exploring new things every day!). This is a little description of the statewide program:
Program Structure
Through Leadership Texas, selected women participants expand their professional and personal associations, while investigating major issues affecting the state and nation. Graduates of Leadership Texas are leaders who have broadened their perspectives to benefit themselves, their families and the businesses and communities in which they interact and excel.
This is what their schedule is like for the year. Laredo is lucky to be on their list and I hope they take away a strong flavor of what regular Laredoans are like (Hopefully politicians won’t get in the way):
Leadership Texas 2010
Session I: Dallas
March 22-24, 2010Session II: Laredo

Sister Rosemary Welsh deserves a big pat on the back for organizing the hosting in Laredo. Yay!
*NOTE – I wrote this right before it started to rain heavily. It was supposed to be an outdoor event. Wonder what Plan B is?
