An NBC-KGNS intern shares

After following a few links here and there I found a posting from a student who interned (is interning?) at the local NBC station. I’ve only been on the interviewee side of TV stations so I thought his run through the news cast process was pretty cool. The account belongs to Agustin Gamez – so hats off to him for having pretty good editing skills and KGNS for helping students learn and practice.

Very interesting. I don’t even know how to program the timer on my microwave when the light goes out.

  2. Yes, but why were they off the air on Sunday night? Just curious.

KGNS had an electrical problem and lost power to their transmitter one minute before the 10:00pm newscast on Sunday. It took them about 18 minutes to reset and restore power. DirecTV viewers watching KGNS at the time got the blue “working on the problem” screen that pops up when they lose the transmitter signal from the station.
