As we say goodbye to U.S. Mother’s Day…

The Saturday Night Live’s Digital Short reminded me of my crazy mom – ultra sweet with the occasional “What did she say again?” moments. If only more moms were as supportive and creative as she is… don’t misunderstand – there are many smart, nurturing, creative, sweet, quirky women who are service-oriented in Laredo; but none are as loved as my mom.

The only place I could find the Digital Short was a story in the Huffington Post. If Hulu or NBC ever get this clip up on their website, I might edit this post. By the way, that is my mom as Betty White’s stunt double – haha, ok, maybe not, but she would try it if we asked.

Thanks so much for the Mothers Day message you sent out last night. I forwarded it (with the link to the wonderful video from A Brave New Foundation) to muchas amigas, many of them moms with children, others women who have always given greatly of themselves to others, in their personal lives and in their work — all deeply caring, nurturing, generous-hearted people who deserve much appreciation. So many, many women in this world are forces for the greater good of all.

El placer fue mio. And btw, I just got a news “alert” from the NYTimes that Elena Kagan is to be Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court. Ojala que she glides through the process without too much opposition (un milagro, por seguro) and becomes another force for the greater good of all.

    Brutal Betty.

    I wish Elena Kagan luck.
