Go out and vote today…

… even if you have to toss a coin for a few of these races. The candidates in the run-off elections are not new to us but we may have seen many new ads recently since it is down to this one last day for 1/2 of them.

In my previous Loteria board post, I asked for the nicknames of your favorite candidates but since there weren’t many submissions, I made up some of my own. Not the best, not the most accurate but you should be basing your vote based on each candidate’s qualities and not nicknames. I will gladly change the nicknames if you send me a good suggestion šŸ™‚

Good luck in electing the person that can best represent us – not perfectly but to the best of their abilities!! Good luck, candidates.

  1. ___chavo says:

___don’t understand why she is called “la calle”

    • que fregados says:

Because she is the only one of the whole bunch that has a street named after her – for only doing her public serve job and nothing more (unless she funded it ?).

That is one of the things I never understood about South Texas, why are there so many buildings, parks & streets named after LIVING people when they still have time to royally screw things up. In this case, that the opponent gets to drive on your street often.

  2. Gaby says:

OMG! I forgot to vote. I better do it right now! Bye.

  3. que fregados says:

YES, I voted and NO, I am not telling you who I voted for. Good luck to all candidates!!

I will take other nickname suggestions, though šŸ™‚

  4. ___chavo says:

___oh, and i suppose you live on
    “Wawi Boulevard” . . .

  5. Et tu Rosse says:

Has “Wow-less Wawi” or “Looney Bruni” been taken yet?

  6. Keyrose says:

    “The Leaker” is a keeper.

For Valdez I would suggest something like Aqua Net(a), or Hair Club (first rule about Hair Club: we don’t talk about Hair Club)

Ms. Gutierrez is always wearing a flower. How about “La Rosa?” It might go to her head.

For Jaime Canales, “El Chofer,” because of the buses.

And for Wawi, it would simply be “WaWaWiWa.”
