Not much comes for free nowadays. The neighbors of St. Peter’s hood in downtown are doing a bootstrap no-budget fun neighborhood event. By the sounds of Heatwave and other weather peeps – it’s going to be a perfect “bring-your-own heavy blanket not just to sit on but to wrap yourself in” kind of night. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to bring your own non-messy snacks.
But before this Friday event, the Health Department is inviting you to an HIV focused art event on Thursday. If you can, check out the local college-aged talent at this showing (that I assume is free, too).

Aww, wish I could be there on Friday! [Our church is having a "Trunk-or-Treat" activity in the parking lot Friday night, where families decorate their cars and trunks for Halloween and give out candy to the kids, instead of having them walking around the sidewalks in the neighborhoods.]
Hope it’s a great event for St. Peter’s! Should be spooktacular!
Your church has the coolest events!
The art event is FREE!! And there will be refreshments and finger foods! Thank you for sharing!!
ahh yes, the time of diversions away from that all dreaded hallows eve *eye-roll* i really wish those who oppose it would open up a history book, get their facts straight and get educated. *sigh*
Do any of “La Raza” from the barrio show up for HIV events?
St. peter church is the most outgoing and coolest church. And one of the first or second church ever build in laredo which has the most history about the build.
